Tokenomics

Alpha Initium is a game inspired by an MMORPG with an emphasis on territorial domination. It takes place in a futuristic world presenting innovative confrontation via its script.

It also integrates various play-to-earn mechanisms through selling heroes (the Alphas), which increase in value as the player progresses in-game, but also by farming ALPHA tokens (yield generating) native to the ecosystem.

Play-to-earn Model

Increase Alpha powers:

There are six resources available to increase your fighter’s battle skills, which are obtained during the combat time allotted. These resources can also be bought and traded on the Marketplace, however, the higher the level of ability to improve, the higher the price of the resource is to increase it.

The abilities that can be increased are:

  • Firepower (DPS), increased by Uranium.

  • Movement Speed (MS), increased by Gold.

  • Life Points (LP), increased by Platinum.

  • Stamina/Endurance (END), increased by Copper.

  • Repairability (REP, equals the rate of LP regeneration), increased by Iron.

  • Berserker Rage (RAG, Firepower increases if LP are weak), is increased by Cobalt.

An Alpha that moves up in combat will automatically be placed in the higher leagues with advantages and rewards that become more important. This can be a way to increase the (re)sale price of an Alpha, through game time or by negotiating strategies for exclusive items.

Betting on Fight Pools:

Players starting a PvP battle will have to pay an entry fee, which is placed into a Fight Pool only for that combat. The players who win the battle cleans up most of the pool: 98% for the winners, while the other 2% is redistributed in this way:

  • DAO: 1.25%

  • Team: 0.75%

Earn Exclusive Items:

When the leagues are created, an extra reward structure will be added as proposals in the DAO. This has the goal of setting apart and encouraging the better players through unique seasonal rewards.

Partner or individual collections (why not give those in the community the chance to show off their talents?) will also be part of the structure.

Financial Model

The Question of GameFi

We wanted Alpha Initium to be a welcome hub for gamers who want to monetize their performance, but also for DeFi investors (decentralized finance) looking for yield returns (Game + DeFi: GameFi).

Nevertheless, we don’t want to create complicated DeFi procedures, simply because it’s not our expertise and that’s not what we are here for. That’s why we wanted to set aside a part of our token reserve to encourage DeFi protocols to be integrated into Liquidity Provider solutions and the farming of ALPHA tokens. Likewise, to allow players to put their Alpha heroes up for loan (auto-collateral) to borrow ALPHAs (possibility to increase your leverage).

ALPHA Tokens

The way to create an optimized internal economy for an ecosystem is with a native token, while providing opportunities for proposal and governance to the community. Therefore, we decided to introduce ALPHA tokens onto our roadmap – this would become the core of the future financial model of Alpha Initium.

Information about the tokenomics (distribution, initial supply, max supply, etc.) will be revealed later, according to the development of the roadmap.

With ALPHAs, players can:

  • Bet in the fight pool

  • Submit proposals to the DAO

  • Farm on partner DeFi platforms

  • Govern in the DAO

  • Buy and sell items on the Marketplace

  • Buy resources

  • Buy and sell Alpha heroes

  • Participate in staking

In-game Currency & Bridge

When a player wants to bet ALPHAs in the fight pool, they need to use a bridge to transform Alphas into Gems that can be used in the game: xALPHA. On the contrary, an investor who wants to place winnings from a game into DeFi can bridge their xALPHAs into ALPHAs, at a 1:1 exchange rate, minus the following fees:

  • 5% for DAO treasury

  • 2% for the team

The bridge will be internally developed by the Alpha Initium team and will connect directly to the users’ Dashboards to allow them to easily exchange ALPHAs in the game.

This provides a separation of the on-chain application layer: Decentralized Exchanges, Marketplace NFTs, Lending dApps … from actual gaming to the game itself: fight pools, gambler rewards, etc.

The bridge will be in high demand by users, so we decided to integrate an Alpha Initium financial model: it will be the basis for a part of the future financial resources of the DAO and the team. See Annex 1, which has an S-Curve that shows the average inflow growth for mobile gaming.

Two ways to make money exist:

  • Inflow A: users can purchase in-game Gems (xALPHAs) directly on their smartphones, via apps like ApplePay or GooglePay.

  • Inflow B: users coming from DeFi applications can bridge their ALPHA tokens to in-game Gems (xALPHAs).

NFT Collectibles

Different kinds of NFT collectibles will be deployed as the roadmap progresses: consumables, exclusive cosmetic items, and Alphas.

  • A one-time 8888 Alpha mint will allow the initial collection of funds.

  • A second mint of Beta Access will take place later to gather the 10,000 players needed for the Beta version.

To reward the better players, we will reveal various, exclusive, and seasonal collectibles soon, at the same time as the release of the PVP League.

The Marketplace

As shown on the roadmap, an official Marketplace will be deployed; positioned as a trusted intermediary for exchanging Alphas after having cultivated them.

When new collections of consumables will be created for the primary market, they will be published directly on the Marketplace. Thus, ALPHA holders can easily participate in their launch.

Royalties will apply to exchanges as well as mint distribution (creation of items) depending upon who the creator is (partner or team):

  • DAO: 4% fee on all transactions + 4% on minting of partner or individual collections.

  • Team: 2% fee on all transactions + 2% on team items (Alphas, access, cosmetic items, etc.).

  • Creator-Partner: 96% of the mint + 2% royalties on all transactions.

Here are some examples:

  • If an Alpha is resold on the Marketplace (original NFT): 4% fee for the DAO + 4% for the team.

  • If a partner organizes a mint: 96% of the total is for the partner + 4% for the DAO.

  • If items created by a partner are resold: 2% fee for the partner + 2% fee the team + 4% fee for the DAO.

  • If the team organizes an original mint: 96% of total is for the team + 4% for the DAO.

ALPHA Staking

ALPHA holders can be rewarded in the near future, since staking is included on the roadmap, but that’s not all: 20% of total revenue generated by the team will be transferred automatically into a Staking Pool, at the launch of ALPHA staking (depending on the roadmap), the total of this amount will be distributed by APR (annual percentage rate) to the stakers. This allows us to redistribute a part of the revenue in advance to the community, in the time it takes for the TokenPaper to be published and the percentages allotted for the staking to be defined within the financial model.

AlphaDAO

Regardless of all the possible projections we can make, it is quite difficult to integrate the need for future financing for an ecosystem like Alpha Initium into relevant model uncertainties. For that reason, we wanted to guarantee the flexibility of our current strategies, so the financial model mentioned above will be modified and our decisions will be shared with the community.

Governance must also be flexible; the team will remain in charge in the beginning but will slowly grant control to the community and the council over time.

Treasury Inflows

  • 4% of all mints (originals and creators) on the Marketplace

  • 2% of all exchanges on the Marketplace

  • 1.25% of all fight pools

  • 5% of ALPHA/xALPHA bridge transfers

Governance

ALPHA holders will be able to submit proposals and give their opinions on important decisions for the ecosystem; such is the vision that drives us to integrate the DAO into our roadmap. Nonetheless, we would like to slowly give up governance, but keep control in the initial years.

Hence, we are opting for an advisory system, of whom the members will first be represented by the team. Eventually, the advisors on the council will become members elected by the community.

To reduce the issue of whales within the governance by liquid democracy, we will develop various anti-whale procedures (non-exhaustive example: quadratic matrix with a system of points of influence based on the number of Alpha heroes within one’s portfolio).

The kind of decisions that will be voted upon by the DAO will involve:

  • Quarterly or biannual amounts of ALPHA to be destroyed

  • Changes to the financial model

  • Incorporation of Creator-Partners for exclusive NFTs

  • DeFi partnerships or centralized exchanges

  • Incentive systems for the community or strategic partners.

  • Modifications of gameplay and decisions about the game.

Alphaverse

The capstone of Alpha Initium is the Alphaverse; it will be revealed when we reach the end of the roadmap below. We want to build a virtual world that will allow players to shine because of their success in combat, the goal being to create a land economy (virtual territories to own) capable of rewarding them with passive revenue.

Roadmap

Below is the complete roadmap leading to deployment into the Alphaverse:
